Trevor Miller 1923 - 2012

The following obituary first appeared in the December 2012 issue of the Orwell Bulletin

Trevor spent much of his childhood in Orwell and after university in Cambridge and spending time in India during the war, started farming at Grove Farm in 1955 when his father died. He moved the family to Orwell in 1963 to farm full time having sold an engineering firm in Luton. In addition to arable farming he also continued to develop White Arch Fruit Farm before going into partnership with his cousin Alan.

After retiring he could often be seen walking round the village with Joy. He enjoyed playing golf and in later years watching sport on Television.

On September 23rd he watched the Grand Prix and died shortly afterwards which I am sure he would have thought was a fitting end to a long and healthy life.
